Fuji Film made the last master roll of Single-8 film in Jan-Feb.

Fuji said that they couldn't reproduce the same films because there was no raw material.

They are examining whether new Single-8 film can be produced with their reversal film (for still photo) .
However, they have not promised to put a new commodity on the market.

Must still seem pretty sad for a lot of you if it limits the interest in continue filming in this format even further. I had just heard of Single-8 myself, and wished I could've gotten into it much earlier myself despite living in the US. Nowadays it's kinda gotten pretty bad for newcomers to get into something like this when the resources and availability proves very costly to do, if only I had done so much earlier when it was still around like in the 80's.

Don´t worry about the end of Single8- Film in Japan. There is new hope and film-stock for Single 8 in Germany.
Please look under www.andec.de or www.andec-cinetec.de or via Google under Andec-Film / Germany
